Brooklyn, New York native Anthony Gatto has a diverse body of music, often integrating literary and visual arts. His cross-media works include the music and libretto for the opera, Wise Blood, after the novel Flannery O'Connor, and the opera, The Making of Americans, after the novel by Gertrude Stein. Both operas premiered at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis.
